Mumbai. Well-known contractor and builder and social worker Anand J. Gupta has been elected Vice President of the Builders Association of India, the country’s largest organization of contractors and builders. His tenure will be for the year 2024 – 2025. His appointment will be effective from April 1, 2024. Anand J. Gupta was declared elected on this Saturday in national executive meeting of Builders Association of India . Gupta was declared unanimously elected to the said post. Let me tell you that Anand J. Gupta is currently discharging his responsibilities well as the Chairperson of the Housing and RERA Committee of the Builders Association of India.
It is noteworthy that Builders Association of India is the largest organization of all the infrastructure developers, contractors and builders in the country. Which has more than 210 centers in the country. It has 22000 business houses as direct members, along with 1,50,000 business houses as associate members in the form of machine manufacturers and construction material manufacturers, distributors and other construction related services. Newly elected Vice President Anand J. Gupta is currently holding the responsibility of Chairperson of Housing and RERA Committee of Builders Association of India for the term of 2020 – 2024. Prior to this, he was Chairperson, Indian Construction Journal of BAI, Spokesperson, General Secretary, National Treasurer, President of Mumbai Centre, Member of the Central Building and Other Construction Workers Advisory Committee of the Government of India, Trustee and Treasurer of the National Council of Senior Citizens, Rotary Assistant Governor in District 3140, member of Rotary International, while holding the post of President has been discharging his social responsibilities by various social activities .He is also the life member of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).

 Anand J.  Gupta has participated in many national and international conferences and seminars on various aspects of construction.  In which the problems of the construction industry in India have been the main topic.  He has undertaken study tours to many countries, including USA, Canada, France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, UK, to understand the intricacies and technical aspects of the construction sector.  Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, U.A.E.  Apart from Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, China, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Egypt, Kenya and Mauritius, many states of India are also included.  Along with this, he has also led the study team of Builders Association of India for studies in China and UAE.  Thousands of members and building construction establishments associated with the Builders Association of India have benefited from the experience of his study tours.

  Due to his tireless and visionary efforts, BAI has started the monthly Knowledge Lecture Series for the last three years and also started the tradition of presenting the Indian Construction BAI Award to encourage the best performing construction company in the construction industry. Anand J. Gupta has been honored with various awards for his commendable work in building construction and social sector.  Anand J.  Gupta holds a Doctor of Honors (Construction Industry) degree from the renowned university.  During his tenure as the Chairperson of the Housing and RERA Committee of BAI, the Committee has received the award as one of the Best Functional Committees of BAI for Housing and RERA for the last 4 years consecutively. He has received the Dharti Ratna Award along with Gold Medal for his contribution towards Mother Earth and land development and the Accommodation Times Award for raising the burning issues from time to time regarding the problems of the real estate industry and its upliftment and recently the Bhavan Award.  Pravasi Nirman Ratna Award has also been awarded for his excellent contribution in the construction sector.
